The death of a loved one can be one of the hardest things you ever experience. Grief is very personal and it can take some time to come to terms with how you feel. The emotions you experience might feel overwhelming at times. Talking to a bereavement professional is often a good way to start feeling better.
This service is available to:
carers, family members and friends whose loved one was known to any of our hospice services;
over 18 years old; and
have been bereaved longer than four months and up to eight years.
All our staff are fully trained in bereavement and all face to face sessions are at The Prince of Wales Hospice. What we offer:
Our trained listeners are volunteers who provide 6 sessions, on the telephone.
They provide 12 sessions. This is either by phone, online or face to face.
We do have groups every so often so please refer to the website for updates.
