For one special evening this October, the people who make hospice care possible will come together under one roof.
Our Hospice has launched our new Celebration Dinner, a unique event bringing together staff, volunteers, supporters, fundraisers, local businesses and community champions to recognise the people behind local hospice care. Taking place on Friday 16 October 2026 at the world-renowned Production Park and hosted by JoJo, the evening promises to be a powerful celebration of community, compassion and connection.
Every day, our Hospice provides expert care and support to local patients and families. Behind that care is a remarkable community of people who give their time, raise funds, donate and champion the Hospice throughout the year. The Celebration Dinner has been created to recognise those contributions and celebrate the difference they make to local families every day.
For the first time, supporters will have the opportunity to celebrate alongside Hospice nurses and care teams, volunteers, staff and fellow supporters. Guests will hear about the impact of hospice care, reconnect with friends old and new, and celebrate everything that has been achieved together as one community.
A highlight of the evening will be the Hospice Supporter Awards, which will shine a spotlight on the individuals, groups and organisations whose dedication helps make hospice care possible. From fundraisers and volunteers to community champions and business supporters, the awards will recognise those who go above and beyond for the Hospice and the families it cares for. The awards are proudly sponsored by We Are Wakefield.
Guests will also enjoy a spectacular two-course dinner prepared by The Caring Kitchen before the celebrations continue into the evening with live entertainment following the awards ceremony. Set within the unique surroundings of Production Park, the event promises to be an unforgettable evening of recognition, celebration and community spirit. Pennine Recruitment and Prosper Accountancy are supporting the event as joint Platinum Sponsors.
Adrian Greenwood, our Fundraising Manager here at the Hospice, said: “In fundraising, we’re lucky enough to meet some incredible people. From volunteers giving up their weekends to businesses backing us year after year, we see extraordinary acts of kindness every day.”
The Celebration Dinner is our chance to recognise those people and celebrate everything they’ve helped us achieve. It’s not often that our nurses, supporters, volunteers and business partners get the opportunity to come together in one room, and that’s what makes this event so special. We hope people will join us for what promises to be a fantastic evening.
Individual tickets start from just £35, and we hope to welcome supporters from across the community, alongside local businesses, volunteers and staff. The event has been designed to be an accessible celebration for everyone who plays a role in supporting hospice care.
