This August, our Hospice was proud to take part in two Pride events, bringing colleagues and members of our local community together to celebrate Pride, inclusion and being ourselves.
On 9 August, our team attended LongboAT’s Community Pride in Wakefield, where we ran a Hospice stall with games and activities. It was a great opportunity to meet people, have some fun and talk to the community about the work we do.
On 13 August, we held our own Hospice Pride for colleagues. The afternoon followed a similar format to last year, with a range of Pride-themed games and activities, alongside plenty of opportunities to come together and celebrate.
We enjoyed bringing some fun and colour to both events and creating opportunities for people to connect with each other.
Thank you to everyone who helped organise and support both Pride events, and to everyone who came along, joined in with the activities and helped make them such enjoyable occasions.
At The Prince of Wales Hospice, we are proud to celebrate the diversity of our colleagues, patients, families, volunteers and wider community.
