Your Support Makes a Big Difference

How the Local Hospice Lottery works

Here at The Prince of Wales Hospice, we are proud to be working with Local Hospice Lottery – a weekly, hospice owned lottery set up to provide financial support to adult and children’s hospices across Great Britain. ALL profits are donated to hospice care!

Playing the Local Hospice Lottery (just £6 per month, per game number) in support of The Prince of Wales Hospice gives you a chance to win £2,000 every single week – along with over 300 other cash prizes. PLUS… there’s a rollover that can reach as high as £25,000!

Players are also automatically entered into the four seasonal Super Draws which take place every March, June, September and December and have an additional GUARANTEED top prize of an incredible £10,000!

It’s simple, fun and a win-win

The more people that join – the more we receive!

Local Hospice Lottery is a hospice owned collaboration. By sharing one prize fund and set of administration costs, players can benefit from a larger prize fund (the biggest of any hospice lottery!) and more money can be raised for The Prince of Wales Hospice than if we ran our own lottery.

How it works

The Prince of Wales Hospice is one of a number of hospices throughout Great Britain supported by Local Hospice Lottery. Local Hospice Lottery will give between 60% and 80% of profits from individuals playing in support of The Prince of Wales Hospice to The Prince of Wales Hospice. This is expected to be at least £700,000 over five years from April 2022. A full list of the hospices supported, along with Terms and Conditions, can be seen on the Local Hospice Lottery website or provided upon request from ‘Freepost Local Hospice Lottery’.

To help to recruit players, a team of paid fundraisers will be working in the local area both door-to-door and at venues. Each member of the team will be wearing a uniform and will have a Local Hospice Lottery photo identity card with them. You can view members of the team on the Local Hospice Lottery website by clicking here. All authorised fundraisers are paid by Local Hospice Lottery Ltd.
