We are excited to launch our new initiative: Hospice to High Street, bringing community drop-in sessions to our charity shops across the Five Towns area from September 2026.
The aim is simple: to make it easier for local people to access information, advice and support in familiar community settings.
Members of our Wellbeing and Community Team will be visiting our shops to answer questions, provide guidance and help connect people with the services that may be right for them or someone they care about.
Many people are surprised to learn that hospice support extends beyond specialist end-of-life care. Last year, we supported more than 1,600 people through a wide range of services, including wellbeing groups, complementary therapies, family support and bereavement services.
Through Hospice to High Street, we hope to reach even more people, helping them understand what support is available and access it in a way that works for them.
Jo Dunford, Wellbeing Lead, said: “Our charity shops are trusted community spaces and a natural place for people to come and talk to us. Hospice to High Street is all about making support easier to access, helping people understand what’s available and ensuring they know where to turn when they need advice or guidance.”
