Our new Young Widows group in Pontefract offers a supportive, understanding space for people under 55 who have been bereaved of their wife, husband, or partner.
We’re here for you
Losing a partner at a younger age can feel isolating — but you don’t have to navigate it alone.
This group provides a relaxed, friendly environment where you can meet others who truly understand what you’re going through. Whether you want to talk, listen, share experiences, or simply spend time with people who “get it”, our team is here to support you.
Who is the group for?
Our Young Widows Group is ideal for anyone under 55 who:
- Has been bereaved of their wife, husband, or partner
- Would like to meet others with shared experiences
- Prefers talking face‑to‑face in a safe, understanding space
- Wants emotional support without pressure or expectations
- Is looking for connection, reassurance, or practical guidance

Refreshments are provided and there is free parking on site.
When we meet
The group begins on Wednesday 13 May 2026, and then runs every four weeks on the following dates:
