Join us for our Sunset Stroll 2026, our meaningful in‑memory walk where families, friends and supporters come together to remember loved ones, celebrate their lives, and support the vital care provided by The Prince of Wales Hospice.
Whether you are walking in memory of someone special or simply wish to support your local hospice, taking a Sunset Stroll with us is a beautiful and reflective way to make a difference.

What to Expect:
This 7‑mile evening walk takes you through our local community as the sun begins to set, creating a peaceful and reflective atmosphere. You’ll join hundreds of others walking together, each carrying a memory and supporting local hospice care.
At registration, you can also purchase:
- Sunset Stroll event t-shirts
- Packs of glow sticks to light up the route
Timings:
- 4:00pm – Arrival & Sign In
- 4:45pm – Event Warm-Up
- 5:00pm – Walk sets off
Walkers will set off in controlled sections of 30 people per minute to ensure a safe and comfortable start.

Yes, well-behaved dogs are more than welcome. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times, and it is the owner’s responsibility to clean up after them.
Yes, parking is available at the start/finish location (G3 Remarketing).
We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and dressing appropriately for the weather on the day. Fancy dress is more than welcome!
All participants take part at their own risk; however, the event is covered by public liability insurance.
Yes, we have partnered with Heart Medical to provide first aid on the day. They will be based at the start/finish location. An emergency contact number will also be provided to all participants should they require assistance along the route.
Not a problem at all. We have a team of dedicated volunteers, along with event staff, to support participants along the route and ensure everyone stays safe. Please make someone aware if you are unable to continue so that we can update all check-in points along the route.
The entry fee is £5 per person for those who are fundraising. For participants who choose not to fundraise, the entry fee is £45 per person. Children under 5 can take part free of charge but must still be registered.
No. As there is a fundraising expectation for participants, there will be no on-the-day entries available.
Yes, all participants are expected to fundraise unless they purchase a non-fundraising ticket. If 250 participants each raised £50, together they would raise £12,500, which could cover the cost of running the Hospice for an entire day. Don’t forget to check whether your employer offers matched funding, as this could significantly increase your fundraising total.
Yes. Participants can create an online fundraising page (we can help set one up if needed), or we can provide a paper sponsorship form.
Following feedback from last year’s event, there will be one route option this year: a 7-mile walk, starting and finishing at G3 Remarketing.
Yes. While there are some slightly hilly sections, the route follows footpaths throughout and includes accessible check-in points.
Yes. Snacks will be available, although supplies may be limited, so we recommend bringing your own. Water will be provided at the start/finish location and at all check-in points. To help keep the event environmentally friendly, we encourage participants to bring a reusable water bottle to refill along the route. Hospice-branded bottles will be available to purchase on the day. A limited supply of single-use plastic bottles will also be available at each check-in point.
