Jade is glad she joined a charity whose values closely match her own.
Jade joined The Prince of Wales Hospice at the beginning of 2025 and has now been with us for just over a year as our People and Culture Manager.
Her connection to the Hospice began long before she applied. Many of her friends and family had been personally involved with the care we provide or had supported our fundraising. When the People and Culture Manager role became available and aligned with her skills and experience, she applied straight away. For Jade, it was an opportunity to give back to the community and to join a charity whose values closely match her own.
What Jade enjoys most about working here is the shared sense of purpose. “We are all working towards a shared goal, striving to provide the best possible care to patients and families in the Five Towns Area,” she says. She also highlights the supportive culture within the organisation. “We are all so kind to and supportive of each other and it feels more like a family than colleagues.”
When asked what she would say to someone considering applying, Jade is clear:
If you are looking to give back to the community and be part of a team that genuinely cares and looks out for each other, the Hospice is the perfect place. I couldn’t recommend it more as a great place to work.
One memorable moment that reflects our values stands out for Jade. She recalls the Sunset Stroll in September, where so many colleagues volunteered or took part. “We are always Working Together and going Above and Beyond, but it was particularly impressive to see how many people were involved. We spurred each other on and celebrated together, and the day ran smoothly thanks to each and every person there.”
Jade’s experience reflects the strong values, teamwork and sense of community that sit at the heart of everything we do.
