Gift in your Will

Gifts in Wills are crucial for our Hospice. One in four of our patients’ care is covered by gifts in Wills. The government only provides 35% of our funding and the rest comes from people like you.

Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference

It’s your generosity that helps us to provide specialist care for those with life-limiting illness.

We can help you writing or updating your Will, free of charge! We can also provide you a Gift in Will Guide about all the information you need when leaving a gift in you Will.

Previous gifts in Wills have given us the ability to invest in growing our services. These gifts help us to start planning for further development of the Hospice, ensuring it can accommodate the growing needs of the community.

Making a pledge

We invite you to make a pledge of planning to leave a gift to The Prince of Wales Hospice in your Will. By doing so, you can help us continue to provide this vital care, ensuring that everyone has the support they need for generations to come.

Completing the pledge form means we can thank you for your generosity in your lifetime and keep you up to date about our work. Your pledge will be handled in strictest confidence.

Our legacy promise to you

We will never put pressure on you to leave a gift to the Hospice in your Will. The decision is completely up to you. If you do decide to leave a gift, this is our promise to you:

  • We absolutely recognise that your loved ones may come first in your Will.
  • We will never push you to share the size or type of your gift, but if you wish to tell us, we can then thank you now, during your lifetime.
  • We fully understand that your personal circumstances may change, and there may be a time when you must take us out of your Will.
  • We will use your gift wisely.
  • Should you wish for your gift to be used in a special way, such as restricting it to a specific Hospice service/equipment, we will endeavour to honour your wish, where possible.
