Charitable Trusts and Foundations

Support us to provide care for patients with life limiting illnesses and fulfil your charitable objectives.

From holistic health and wellbeing benefits, we can meet a range of your health, social and community improvement aims.

As the Hospice receives only around a quarter of its running costs from the NHS, donations and grants are invaluable. They help with ongoing running costs, enabling 24 hour care, seven days a week, every single day of the year; or they contribute to specialist projects and capital needs.

Partnerships, from local family-run funds to larger foundations, are essential to all the ways local people access help at the most difficult of times.
*To explore how to make a difference, please contact our Trusts Fundraiser,  Sam on sjohnson@pwh.org.uk or call 01977 781477.

Here are just some of the ways you can help to make a difference:

Nursing care: Our 13 bed Incare unit provides around the clock care for patients who need symptom management in order to return home, or have chosen the safety and dignity of our Hospice for care at the end of their life.

£41,500 could cover all the costs of employing a fully qualified full-time nurse for one year.

Capital improvement: We have made some of our garden more accessible and improved some patient patios, to increase therapeutic benefits for our patients.

£180,000 could completely transform our grounds and the remaining Incare room patios.

Medical Equipment - we constantly strive to improve care, using specialist equipment.

£1,185 could purchase a syringe driver for steady, level pain relief

Wellbeing team - providing peer, social, spiritual and bereavement support.

£ 4,395 could buy a month of our social worker’s time to support patients and families.

We are fortunate to already work with a number of charitable trusts, foundations and Local Authorities to support local families affected by life-limiting illness. Find out more about their fantastic support on the links below.
