Millennium Support gives momentous donation in memory of loved ones
Millennium Support have been supporting adults with learning disabilities for over 20 years.

They are a family run company which was set up in 1998, when their first home was opened in Featherstone.

Now offering a range of services to meet the variety of needs of people with a learning disability, they support over 200 people through a dedicated team of over 360.

In 2018 we were delighted when Millennium Support became members of our Club 5 scheme. Since then, they have been keen supporters of the Hospice, taking part in It’s a Knockout, Pontefract 10k, our 30th anniversary celebrations, and supporting our recent crisis appeal.

They have also supported our Hospice shops with donations, and provided volunteers to paint our store at Kippax.

This Christmas, Millennium’s CEO, Steven Clough decided he wanted to give the people they employ and support the opportunity to remember their loved ones through the Hospice Light up a Life appeal.

Staff sent in their dedications and received a special card bearing the names of their loved ones, along with a Light up a Life pin badge.

Steven tells us, “This year has been one of the most difficult any of us will remember. Especially so for charities and organisations like the Hospice. We had so much planned to help fundraise this year, so we wanted to continue our support by gifting this money. Hopefully next year we can get back to fundraising”

Steven is pictured handing over a cheque for £1500.00 to our Legacy & In Memory Fundraiser, Anne Giblin, who said “I am overwhelmed by the generosity of Millennium Support. What a wonderful way to support the Hospice, and to give others the chance to remember a loved one at Christmas.”
