A tribute to Councillor Denton Jones

We are saddened to hear that Councillor Denton Jones, the former Mayor of Normanton has passed away after a short illness.

During his six years as Mayor he was an avid supporter of our Hospice, and went above and beyond to help us raise vital funds and show his support by attending events.

We have very fond memories of Councillor Jones, one being his abseil in October 2018 to raise funds for us. He was over 80 at the time, we really admire his bravery!

Our thoughts are with his family, friends and the Normanton community at this sad time. We will miss his smiling face and kind nature around the Hospice. RIP Denton.
