A festive thank you to Millennium Support volunteers

9 December 2025

Christmas is about giving, and we celebrated people who give all year round – Millennium Support.

Millennium Support is a group of people with learning disabilities who volunteer their time to care for our gardens. They plant flowers, pull weeds, and make our outdoor spaces peaceful and welcoming for patients, families, and staff.

To say thank you, we hosted a cosy Christmas party filled with crafts, games, and plenty of tea and treats. There was laughter, creativity, and a real sense of togetherness.

Jo Lister, our Wellbeing Coordinator, said: “Our volunteers bring so much life to the hospice all year round. Today was about giving a little of that joy back. Seeing their wonderful creations really put us in the festive spirit. Thank you to everyone who joined us.”
