Light Up A Life

Remember someone you love this Christmas
Christmas is a time when we remember our loved ones, and Light up a Life provides an opportunity for families and friends to remember those no longer with us.

This year, Hospice supporter, Kathryn, tells us why she is dedicating a light in memory of her father, Malcolm.
Read Kathryns tribute to dad, Malcolm here.

Dedicate a light in memory of your loved one and you will receive a Light up a Life card bearing their name.  Your dedication will appear in our online Book of Lights, and also in the Pontefract and Castleford Express and the Hemsworth and South Elmsall Express.
Sadly, our traditional services of remembrance cannot take place due to COVID-19 restrictions.  We will however be streaming a very special online service  on Thursday 10th December at 7pm, when the Christmas tree lights will be switched on. We are unable to invite you to attend in person, but we’d love you to join us online to remember your loved one.

Your donation is important to us, and any gift large or small directly helps those in our care.

Give a gift of between £30 and £100 and you will receive an exclusive Light up a Life pin badge*.  For a gift of £100 or more you can have a beautiful lantern dedicated to your loved one on display at the Hospice garden event.  Your lantern will be yours to keep after the event.

The lanterns have kindly been donated by RWE Generation UK

Your gift will not only Light up the Life of your loved one, it will help care for our patients and their loved ones this Christmas.  Thank you.
