Ackworth PramFest celebrates a decade of community spirit with over £108,000 raised for Hospice care

18 November 2025

Ackworth’s streets came alive with laughter, colour, and community spirit as hundreds gathered for the annual PramFest, raising an incredible £13,742 this year and pushing the total raised for our Hospice to over £108,000. This cherished event isn’t just about prams and fancy dress it’s about hope, care, and making a real difference for families facing a life-limiting illness.

Since its revival in 2015, PramFest has grown into a symbol of togetherness and generosity. Every pound raised helps provide comfort, dignity, and specialist care for patients and their loved ones during the most challenging times of their lives.

More than 100 participants raced prams through cheering crowds, while Ackworth Cricket Club buzzed with activity, raffles, stalls, and smiling faces everywhere. Behind the fun lies a powerful purpose: making sure everyone in the community can live and die well.

“PramFest is proof of what love and community can achieve. These funds mean more than weeks of specialist care; they mean reassurance for families, knowing they are surrounded by support and compassion. We are humbled by the kindness shown year after year.”
