Spotlight on our volunteers - Meet Ciara
Our volunteers are an essential part of our work and we are very grateful to them. We want to shine a spotlight on their amazing work. Meet Ciara, our charity shop volunteer.

Ciara has been volunteering at our charity shop in Fitzwilliam for almost a year. She is 20 years old and lives in Fitzwilliam.

Louise, the Shop Manager told us about her: “At first, Ciara was timid and very shy. Too shy to go on the till and deal with customers. What a difference a year makes! Ciara is now doing every task from pricing, steaming and working on the till to dealing with customers with confidence. Ciara is a lovely friendly young lady and we all think the world of her.”

Ciara works part time at a local shop. She is also a team leader for Beavers. Her hobbies are meeting up with her friends and learning to play the guitar. Her future plan is travelling.

When we asked Ciara what she likes about volunteering the most she said: “It’s a lovely atmosphere to work in, you never know what is going to be donated on a daily basis and I love working with such lovely people who I have so much fun with.”

We thank to Ciara for joining us and volunteering. We wish her big plan of travelling come true.
