Take to the ice this Christmas

Monday, 24 December 2018
Come and join the The Prince of Wales Hospice for a fun-filled ice skating session for all the family from 28th- 30th December, thanks to Charity of the Year supporter, Motorpoint.

Entry to the ice rink is by donation, and all funds will support patient care at the Hospice. If skating isn’t your thing, there’s plenty of other activities including live music, face painting, hot and cold food, a selection box treasure hunt, stalls and more!

Mick Martin-Roebuck, General Manager of Motorpoint Castleford, said: “Christmas can be an expensive time of year for families. This is why we decided to build an ice rink between Christmas and the New Year so people of all ages from the Five Towns area can pop down to skate for free and help support the work of The Prince of Wales Hospice. We look forward to welcoming everyone to Motorpoint Castleford between December 28th – 30th.”

Tracey Mearns, Partnership Development Coordinator from the Hospice said; “On behalf of our staff, patients and their families, thank you to Motorpoint for hosting this fantastic event again this year. We can’t wait to see everyone having fun on the ice and the money raised from donations really does make a difference to the care and support we provide our patients.”
