Students Organise Fashion Show for Hospice

Wednesday, 6 July 2016

A group of students at Ackworth School, led by teacher Alex Collingwood, organised an evening of glitz and glammer in aid of the Hospice.  The Fashion Show was hosted by Kath at Complete Clothing, while guests could enjoy refreshments courtesy of the school.
Talking about The Prince of Wales Hospice, Alex said “Ackworth School has an ongoing community partnership initiative with The Prince of Wales Hospice and we try to raise some money each year to give over to support the amazing work that is done there.  We have many students that volunteer with the hospice and we hold it a cause very dear to our hearts.”

Parents and supporters turned out in force to enjoy the show.  The evening raised £365.00 for the hospice, which provides vital end of life care and support to patients and their families living with life limiting illnesses.

Soo, a volunteer and trustee at the Hospice said, “Thanks a million to Kath from Complete Clothing and Ackworth School for raising much needed funds for a very special place.”
