Hospice Care Week: A Glimpse into the Heart of Compassionate Care Hospice Care Week: A Glimpse into the Heart of Compassionate Care
Once again as part of Hospice Care Week on Wednesday 11 October we opened our doors to the community to give you the chance to get to know your local Hospice and the services we offer. Our team were on hand to talk you through our services and volunteering opportunities. The Caring Kitchen also had delicious refreshments available.

Hospice Care Week, an annual nationwide event to celebrate hospice care, is a great opportunity to recognise the importance of the specialist care provided to people who need it most. We went yellow, totally transforming our Hospice and charity shops to raise awareness of Hospice care.

We showcased the specialist care we provide for patients and their families to our partners and presented our vision for the next three years as well as introducing our individual teams. Everyone who walked through the doors got a warm and friendly welcome and learnt about some of the important and invaluable work we do for the community.

Amanda Darley, Director of Estates and Facilities at the Hospice said: "We had an extraordinary day, allowing numerous individuals to experience the welcoming environment of the Hospice and gain a deeper appreciation for the invaluable services we offer to our community. Our commitment is to expand our outreach even further, and we hope those who attended will tell more people about who we are and what we do.”
