A sweet treat in the sunshine

We were delighted when a patient’s son offered to bring his ice cream truck to our Hospice so all our incredible staff, volunteers, patients and their families could enjoy a treat to keep them cool in this glorious sunshine!
 
Jo Dunford, Wellbeing Lead said: “John’s mum is a patient on our Incare ward and he came to us and told us how the family had been made to feel so welcome on our ward and had enjoyed all the time they had been able to spend together. We were able to organise an afternoon for them to enjoy, and they wanted to do something to say thank you.”
 
The ice cream truck visited us on Tuesday, 13 June and patients and their families, doctors, nurses and our volunteers were able to enjoy a cool treat ahead of a busy afternoon.
