21 Daredevils brave the heights of Ilkley cow and Calf Rocks v

21 daredevils braved the heights of the Ilkley Cow Calf rocks in aid of our Hospice.

High on Ilkley Moor, the iconic Yorkshire Cow and Calf Rocks are a large rock formation consisting of an outcrop and boulder, also known as Hangingstone Rocks.

The challenge included a 45 feet Tyrolean traverse which had participants dangling from a harness on a rope to get across two rocks, they had to pull themselves across with the help of the other participants and instructors on the other side. And a 70 feet abseil which saw them take on a controlled slide down a rope to descend the rock face.

Challengers could do one or both of the activities and our 21 daredevils showed no fear! We had a great mix of people taking on the challenge with ages ranging from 13 to 84.
