Our doctors and nursing team are working around the clock to provide patient care to those in our community with a life-limiting illness. We have had a number of very kind donations of food and essential items from a number of local businesses and would like to thank them for their generosity. To save our staff a supermarket visit before or after their shift, Brakes visited the Hospice with a lorry full of essentials. Staff filled boxes of fresh fruit and vegetables, bread and even toilet roll! Donations were made for the items to raise funds for the Hospice, with £166 raised in just one hour
Emma, from Costa Coffee in Castleford also brought in some some delicious bakery items to keep our nurses and doctors strength up during their shift- they went down a treat!
We have also had food donations from Kingscroft, and Alleyc'zam cafe. Jo Schofield, Head of Clinical Services at the Hospice said; 'The donations have been so very generous and have certainly cheered up the staff who are hard at work caring for our patients. Thank you all so much.'
