Masterclass on Symptom Management in Palliative Care

The Prince of Wales Hospice and Wakefield Hospice are hosting a one-day education session targeted at GPs, Hospital Doctors, Specialist Nurses and other healthcare professionals working with patients with palliative care needs.

Event Details

Led by experienced clinicians in palliative medicine, the Masterclass aims to give participants confidence in the assessment and management of common symptoms, including appropriate prescribing.

Topics will include:

  • Assessment of pain type
  • Use of opioids and adjuvant analgesia
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Breathlessness
  • Advance care planning 
  • End of life care 
  • Constipation
  • Mouth care
  • Lymphoedema management 

Please note that bookings will close at noon on Monday 23rd March 2020, or sooner if all places are filled.

Cancellation before 12th March will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations on or after the 12th of March will incur the full cost of the day unless we are able to fill these places.
