Our specialist care for people with a life-limiting illnesses is provided completely free of charge. But we couldn’t do it without your help. Under 30% of the £4.2m costs needed to run the Hopice for a year is funded by the NHS. So, we rely on your support through our shops, fundraising events, donations and fundraising in our communities to raise around £3m a year. Even a small gift can make a difference: Just £17.63 can fund a nurse’s care for an hour– providing up to three patients with pain relief, help to move, assistance at meal times and emotional support. £59 can run all the services needed to run an incare bedroom for a morning– from medical and nursing care, to family support; from providing nutritious food, to the rigorous cleaning that helps keep our rooms infection-free.
