Catering Volunteer

Volunteers work in a small busy team to help prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold meals for patients, visitors, staff and volunteers.  Catering volunteers also help out with washing up and cleaning duties.  No special skills are required.  All new volunteers are given an induction when they start along with on the job training and supervision to help them settle into their role.

Registered Nurse

£26,564 - £28,746 per annum
37.5 hours a week
We currently have a vacancy for up to full time (37.5 hours) for a registered nurse to join our forward thinking Hospice. As a Registered Nurse, you’ll be there for people in their time of greatest need. We provide free specialist care and support to patients with terminal illnesses whilst offering vital emotional support to their families. The support we offer is tailored to meet individuals’ medical, social, spiritual and emotional needs.

Corporate Fundraising Assistant

£18,333 - £20,050 per annum
37.5 hours a week
An exciting opportunity to join the successful fundraising team at The Prince of Wales Hospice, West-Yorkshire. Partnerships with local businesses already raise over £170,000 for The Prince of Wales Hospice. But with an ambitious plan for patient care, we need to increase this fundraising further. Within a broader fundraising team of eleven, you will be part of a team of two responsible for the development and delivery of fundraising campaigns for local businesses. This includes including the pro-active recruitment of new supporters and maximising the contribution of existing supporters. You will be driven to provide excellent donor care for our partners, including delivering public recognition for their support. You will lead on the management of our successful Business Club, recruiting new members to the Club and delivering the benefits of membership, such as team volunteering days at the Hospice.

Complementary Therapist

The Prince of Wales Hospice provides a complementary therapy service to patients and carers across a variety of clinical areas and locations. The main purpose of the role is to support the delivery of complimentary therapy to the Outreach service. This will offer the volunteer the opportunity to enhance their skills and experience in a palliative care setting.

To play an integral part in the successful running of one of our busy retail stores and working as part of a team of volunteers with the guidance and support of our shop managers and assistant managers. There will be an opportunity to be involved in a variety of tasks while at the same time meeting new people, learning new skills and having fun, gaining work experience which will help in building self confidence.
