Sales Executives - Hospice Lottery canvassers

Both employed and self employed roles come with an attractive financial package per annum
Employed - 37.5 hours a week
We are currently looking for canvassers to recruit lottery players in our local community. There is no set closing date for this role.

Catering Volunteer

Volunteers work in a small busy team to help prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold meals for patients, visitors, staff and volunteers.  Catering volunteers also help out with washing up and cleaning duties.  No special skills are required.  All new volunteers are given an induction when they start along with on the job training and supervision to help them settle into their role.

Casual Retail Shop Assistant

The role involves assisting the Shop Manager to help maximise income from sales, working on the shop floor and dealing with cash and donations. Good customer service skills are essential and as part of the shop team you will help to promote awareness of the Hospice cause and philosophy.

Day Therapy Outreach Volunteer

To assist in supporting people who attend the Day Hospice Therapy Outreach service. This role involves chatting to patients and their carers, assisting them to undertake activities and also to assist the team in setting up the sessions.

Fundraising Volunteer

This role involves playing an active part in our friendly Fundraising and Volunteers Group and also fundraising in the community by organising and running initiatives such as stalls, tombolas, bag-packing and raffles.

Complementary Therapist

The Prince of Wales Hospice provides a complementary therapy service to patients and carers across a variety of clinical areas and locations. The main purpose of the role is to support the delivery of complimentary therapy to the Outreach service. This will offer the volunteer the opportunity to enhance their skills and experience in a palliative care setting.

Working under the supervision of a lymphoedema practitioner as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide planned skilled, compassionate care and symptom control to patients suffering with Lymphoedema.

To support the Housekeeping team to undertake cleaning and domestic duties across the Hospice as directed by the Housekeeping team.

Volunteer Charity Shop Assistant

To play an integral part in the successful running of one of our busy retail stores and working as part of a team of volunteers with the guidance and support of our shop managers and assistant managers. There will be an opportunity to be involved in a variety of tasks while at the same time meeting new people, learning new skills and having fun, gaining work experience which will help in building self confidence.
