When Santa Claus came to town!

Wednesday, 5 December 2018
On Sunday 2nd December hundreds of Santa’s gathered at Pontefract Town Hall to dash, dance and prance their way around the 2.5km course to help raise funds for patient care.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for taking part, you all looked fantastic and we loved seeing everyone dressed up in their Christmas outfits having fun to raise vital funds for the Hospice.

One of our Santa’s, was five year old Noah. Noah’s mum Zoe told us; “He was so excited to run with Daddy, and is thrilled he has raised money to help the poorly people, he loved it. He took his medal to school and showed it to the whole school in assembly too, it was a super event.” Noah has raised an amazing £284 for the Hospice to date, well done Noah!

We would also like to say a massive thank you to all of our volunteers, as well as to the Air Cadets, Castleford Tigers and Nicholas Teal Photography for helping to make the event such a huge success, we couldn't have done it without you.

Katy Lee, Events and Community Fundraiser, said: “The Santa Dash is one of my favourite Hospice events and its great fun for all the family. I loved seeing everyone getting into the festive spirit to help raise funds for the Hospice and this year was bigger and better than ever.”

Please remember to hand in your sponsorship if you haven't done already. If you're unsure about how you can hand this in please get in touch. Make sure you keep your eyes peeled for the total amount raised.
