Success at Selby shop opening!

Wednesday, 31 July 2019
The Hospice has officially opened a brand new shop in Selby, with a ribbon cutting by Duncan Wood from ITV Calendar News. The new shop opened it’s doors to the public for the very first time on Monday 29th July on Selby high street, and is our first Hospice shop in the area, raising vital funds for the Hospice.

Shoppers eagerly waited outside whilst Duncan Wood from ITV Calendar News cut the ribbon, officially opening the store. Duncan said; "It was such an honour to be able to open the Selby store for the Hospice. I’ve seen firsthand the incredible work they do and the constant need for financial support to help families in Selby and beyond. This shop is in a great position and it was fantastic to see queues outside the door on day one with everyone grabbing a bargain. I hope it will be a great addition to fundraising for the Hospice and I’m sure the generous folk of Selby will play their part.”

It was a fantastic turn out on the day and shoppers received 15% off their first purchase. Thank you to everyone who came along to support the opening. The Hospice even made an apperance on ITV Calendar News that very evening! We are appealing for volunteers to help run the Selby shop and we have a variety of opportunities available.
