Motorbike Restored and Ready for Action

Thursday, 14 July 2016

Community Fundraiser, Nick Booth has just completed a 3 year restoration of a 1988 MZ Motorbike. He is now ready to put his handy work to the test as he plans to travel from The Prince of Wales Hospice all the way to where the motorbike was originally built in East Germany.

Along with his support group of four, Nick will start his journey on 12  August,  travelling around 200 miles per day for 5 days, camping on route. The group have already been busy fundraising through various tombola’s, car boot sales and music nights, determined to reach their £5000 target at the end.

Nick Booth said “I was originally gifted the motorbike by a friend on the understanding that I fully restored the motorbike and made good use of it. The Prince of Wales Hospice is a local charity and I personally feel it's an excellent cause to support. My partner Ros and her friends are heavily involved and support the charity and I can see all the help this charity has given across the years.”
