HARIBO Bike for Top Festive Fun Runner

Friday, 12 February 2016

Festive Fun Run participant, 12 year old Josh Hicks came out top of the leader board of fundraisers having raised an amazing £420 in sponsorship for The Prince of Wales Hospice.

Event sponsors HARIBO kindly donated a bike to be given to the top fundraiser and Josh was delighted to be awarded the prize.

Josh Hicks said: “I started running with school in cross country so I wanted to keep it up and run for important things like charities. I asked family and friends to sponsor me and they happily said yes. It felt amazing to achieve such a great goal. It was really exciting taking part in the fun run. When I got the news I had won the bike I was blown away. I’m happy that I was giving to such a great cause as the hospice.”

Julie Beaman, Assistant Communications Manager at HARIBO comments: “Josh has done an amazing job raising so much money for this fantastic cause. He is definitely a worthy winner and we hope that he enjoys cycling just as much as he does running.”
