Community Fundraiser Raises over £3000 for the Hospice

Friday, 20 May 2016
The Prince of Wales Hospice supporter Georgia Percival has raised £3376 by organising a curry night at Thaal Indian Restaurant, Brotherton. The night was a huge success and included an auction and raffle to boost her fundraising total.
Georgia would like to thank restaurant manager Mr Ali, who donated half of the food takings, the local community who helped and supported the event, and all of the local business’s who donated raffle prizes.
Fundraiser Georgia said: “All of this is in memory of my amazing mum who passed away on December 31. The Hospice looked after mum for the last 2 weeks of her life; they made her feel safe, calm and very well cared for. The staff went over and beyond the call of duty and by a way of thanks I feel this is the one way that I can show my appreciation. The Prince of Wales Hospice will always be in my families’ heart.”
Georgia’s fundraising doesn’t stop there, she along with 6 friends are taking on the Three Peaks in September this year and need your support, visit their Just Giving page for more information or to sponsor them.
If you’re feeling inspired you can join them in their quest to take on the Three Peaks on 3 September by registering through The Prince of Wales Hospice website. You can choose to do 25km, 50km, 75km or 100km; challenging yourself as well as raising money for the Hospice.
