Charity partnership off to a flying start

Friday, 26 April 2019
We're so happy to tell you the launch of our new charity partnership with Junction 32 shopping centre has raised over £1,400 in its first week!
The shopping centre, welcomed Hospice staff and volunteers on site over the Easter period to sell raffle tickets for our 30thanniversary car raffle, where one lucky winner will bag a Fiat 500.
Haribo’s Gold Bear came along to the launch on Saturday 13 April to show his support on behalf of sponsors, Haribo, and even joined in selling tickets. The promotional week concluded on Good Friday, with a fantastic £1423 of raffle tickets sales, and income from Easter tombola.
Tracey Mearns, Corporate Partnerships Coordinator at the Hospice said; ‘We had a fantastic time at Junction 32 promoting our car raffle. It’s incredible that we have raised £1423 already towards the campaign. We would like to thank all our Hospice volunteers who gave their time throughout the week and everyone who has supported us by buying a ticket, we wish you the best of luck!”
In addition to the raffle ticket sales, Junction 32 generously got the campaign off to a great start by donating £1,000. The stores within Junction 32 will also be encouraged to support the Hospice throughout the year by having collection boxes in shops to support the Hospice’s 30th Anniversary, and joining in with a 30th birthday party, later in the year in conjunction with Junction 32’s 20th birthday celebrations.
Darren Winter, Junction 32 Centre Manager, said; ‘We are absolutely thrilled that the partnership got off to a such a successful start. The event was greatly received by our customers and we are really excited about further fundraising events this year.’
