Welcome to our website which is packed with information about our services, how we can help you and how you can support us. Since the Hospice opened in 1989, we have expanded and developed our services so that they can meet the needs of people of the five towns area and beyond either with a stay at the Hospice, in our day care facility or even through appointments for special ‘feel good support’.
Patients and families are at the centre of everything we do. As many of our patients and supporters tell us, The Prince of Wales Hospice is a very special place. We deliver a unique service to our community: working in partnership with health and social care professionals, we care for people with advanced illness, offering you services where and when you need them.
We feel proud and privileged to touch the lives of thousands of people every year. We are not a part of the NHS and rely on public support to raise the great majority of our annual running costs of nearly £2 million.
This website has sections for patients and families, information specifically for health professionals and pages detailing our latest news and events, all of which will be updated regularly, so please do check back to find out what we are up to and how you can get involved. We hope to give you a flavour of what it is like to be cared for by us, but also ways of supporting us, through fundraising, volunteering or joining us as a member of staff.
In the meantime, enjoy this virtual visit and feel free to contact us. We hope you enjoy the website and would be grateful to receive your feedback.
Thank you for visiting.
With best wishes,
David Stewart General Manager |
