Gordon Tollefson, Chairman of the Hospice’s Board of Trustees: Mr Tollefson has been involved with the Hospice since its inception, initially as a member of the Council of Management and thereafter the Board. He has been Chairman since 2001. Retired from full time working as a Senior Manager with the Ambulance Service, he now works part-time with a consortium of general practitioners and maintains his other voluntary interests as a Magistrate and Deputy Commander of St John Ambulance in South & West Yorkshire. He is a Deputy Lieutenant for West Yorkshire.
Mr John Sidwell, Company Treasurer: Mr Sidwell has been a member of Board since 1999 and has provided stewardship of its finances for most of the period since then. He is Director of Finance and Administration for a major law firm in Leeds.
Mr Colin Allen has had a long relationship with the Hospice and preceded Mr Tollefson as Chairman. He is a retired Consultant Surgeon and spends his time attending literary festivals and caravanning in Europe with his wife.
Mr Ian Dransfield joined the Hospice board after a period of volunteering for the Hospice. He is a retired Newsagent and Fire Officer but is still an active member of the Normanton Rotary Club and a School Governor.
Mrs Ann Gleed MBE has been associated with the Hospice for over 25 years and has been a Board member for over 10 years. During her association with the Hospice, she has worked as a Volunteer Fundraiser, a helper in the Day Hospice and as a Sales Assistant in the Hospice’s shops.
Mr Dominic Hayes joined the Board in 2008 and is Head of Information Technology at a leading Leeds law firm.
Mrs Pam Spetch was appointed as a trustee in 2008 and has been a General Medical Practice Business Manager for 18 years in Leeds, where she is also involved in new health initiatives.
Mr Roger Whitaker has been a trustee for a over a decade and takes a special interest in fundraising. He is a retired British Telecom Engineer. |
