Schools and youth groups certainly put the “fun” into fundraising! Raising funds for the hospice through your school can make a real difference, and it needn’t be difficult.
Events you could consider, and which can assist you with include:
- Non-uniform day - a regular favourite! Children (and teachers!) pay £1 to come in normal clothes, fancy dress, or dressed along a particular theme, such as all in yellow or wearing wellies.
- Try sponsored events, from a sponsored silence to a sponsored spell, or how about a sponsored music or sports marathon, where teams of people keep an activity going for 24 hours or more in relay. Why not try to break a record too?
- Entertaining events, like talent shows, Stars in Your Eyes, a choral or classical music concert, a disco, carol singing, karaoke are a great end-of-term fundraiser. Challenge another school and see who can raise the most!
- Help in the community. Offer your services, car washing or bag packing in return for donations.
