    Active challenges

The hospice has a number of very popular physical-challenge events for you to join.
Cyclists can take part in our annual Cyclothon each May. The event, which has been raising funds for the hospice for nearly twenty years, offers cyclists of all ability a challenge, with 10 mile, 25 mile, 45 mile and 60 mile routes.
Walkers can choose from our spring time family-friendly walk, called the Memory Walk, or our ladies-only midnight challenge each summer – the Starlight Walk.
For Runners we can offer a place and a chance to run in the wonderful atmosphere of the Great North Run in Newcastle. There are a limited number of hospice places available in this event each year.
Golfers can enter our annual fundraising tournament in teams of four. A challenging but fun 18 holes is followed by much deserved dinner and presentation of prizes.
Fancy something more adventurous? Enquire about our Skydiving opportunities or our Overseas Challenges .
For all events, we ask you to request sponsorship from your family and friends to help raise as much as possible for patient care at the hospice. To see the opportunities coming up visit What’s On.
