    Active challenges

The hospice has a number of very popular physical-challenge events for you to join

Cyclists can take part in our annual Cyclothon each May. The event, which has been raising funds for the hospice for nearly twenty years, offers cyclists of all ability a challenge, with 10 mile, 25 mile, 45 mile and 60 mile routes.

Walkers can choose from our Springtime family-friendly celebration of life, the Memory Walk within the grounds of Nostell Priory, or popular sponsored dog walk, Paws in the Park at Pontefract Park.

For Runners we can offer a place and a chance to run in the wonderful atmosphere of the Great North Run in Newcastle. There are a limited number of hospice places available in this event each year.

Fancy something more adventurous? Enquire about our Skydiving opportunities or our Overseas Challenges.

For all events, we ask you to request sponsorship from your family and friends to help raise as much as possible for patient care at the hospice. To see all of the opportunities coming up, please visit our What’s On pages.
