Out of every £1 donated to the hospice, 84p is spent directly on patient care.
- £7.50 could fund our water supply for 12 hours, vital if we are to continue to make a difference
- £10 allows us to help a patient put together a memory box for a loved one
- £15 enables an expert nurse deliver optimal care with comfort and dignity for one hour
- £32 funds a home visit by a bereavement counsellour to help families through difficult times
- £50 could pay our electricity bill for a whole day, necessary if we are to continue to serve our community
- £120 provides our in-care patients with the support of a doctor overnight
- £200 could buy all the fruit and vegetables we use in cooking for patients and visitors for a month
- £250 funds all our running costs for one hour
- £450 allows us to deliver inspirational care to one of our in-patients for 24 hours
- £1,200 funds our heating bill for one month during the winter
- £1,400 will enable us to fund a transport service, allowing our day patients to attend the Hospice for support this summer
- £2,000 could pay for all nursing time and supplies needed to run a bedroom for a week.
We offer round-the-clock support 365 days a year. This cost us over £2m.
