Out of every £1 donated to the hospice, 84p is spent on patient care.
- £5 could buy medical supplies needed daily at the hospice, such as oxygen, thermometers and syringes
- £9 could pay for an hour’s nursing on incare
- £10 could buy enough alcohol cleansing gel to last the hospice a month
- £30 could pay for a home visit to a bereaved relative who doesn’t have family support
- £50 could buy an electronic blood pressure gauge
- £120 could buy a nebuliser to help patients with breathing difficulties
- £200 could buy all the fruit and vegetables to be used in cooking for patients and visitors for a month
- £1000 could pay for a syringe driver, offering patients on incare uninterrupted pain relief
- £2000 could pay for all the nursing time and supplies needed to run a bedroom for a week
It costs nearly £2m a year to run our services for patients and families, only about a third of which comes from the government. Please give generously. |
