The hospice is officially a Specialist Unit for Palliative Care, according to the definition provided by the National Council for Palliative Care.
This means we have in place a full multi-professional team to care for patients and families, including:
Consultants in palliative medicine
Hospice practitioners and GP registrars
Registered nursing team
Health care assistants
Social worker
Discharge planning nurse
Chaplain
Physiotherapist
Occupational therapist
Complementary therapists
Carers support worker
Bereavement support co-ordinator
