    Carers support

Carers support is offered to take away some of the pressure you may feel. While you can have a vital role in making sure your loved one is able to be cared for in the place of their choice you have your own needs, and the physical, psychological, social, financial and spiritual consequences of your caring need to be taken into account.

Carers can talk about their needs while their loved one is being cared for at the hospice or after they have returned home. For many, the telephone helpline befriending service may be their choice, but the hospice offers support in many forms and at all times:
    • Telephone befriending
    • Complementary therapies
    • Help and advice
    • Referral to other agencies
