The hospice receives some funding from the Wakefield District NHS Primary Care Trust and though this funding changes annually, on average it covers about 30% of the hospice’s running costs.
A further 30% is raised by the hospice’s charity’s shops and the internet auction page.
For the remaining 40% the hospice relies on financial donations from people, companies and community groups in the local area. This equates to raising around £800,000 in donations each year, or over £2000 a day.
